Hey all I have remade Hyperion Fleet, now called Hyperion Fleet Requiem. I made this for mainly the older members of the Fleet and the people that liked how it was ran. While I have no intention of trying to grab power from the Hyperion Alliance I do want to be part of it in some form. Note that I am not thinking of running for Marshal if we get accepted into the alliance. The was just a basic update.

U.S.S.HiramBerdan

Hello , members of Hyperion Battle Fleet, and our illustrious Allies!
For those of you who have not yet been made aware...  Four of our Founding Members
have moved on to bigger and bettter things:  Wade, Okar, Auto, and Patton.
I would like to thank them for their service to Hyperion, and for getting us started from five guys
in Mirandas, and turning us into one of the largest, most powerful Federation Fleets
in all of STO.  I wish all of you guys luck, and have nothing but respect for all four of you.
<Salute!>

However, their leaving has left a bit of a power vacuum in Hyperion.
That's where I come in.  I am C. Brian "Gundancer" Waller.  Y'all can call me "Gunny."
I was the original C.O. for the 4th Academy Training Group, and went on to found
the 32nd Fleet Support Squadron.  Yes, I'm the guy that wrote most of the Officer's Manual
and Fleet Exam.  Don't hate.  Especially since I'm now the Acting Fleet Admiral.

We've already started making some changes to Hyperion.  The 32nd has a new Commander,
Admiral Vailen, who is now in charge of Training and Recruitment.  Vailen has already recruited over 100
new Officers to Hyperion.

We have recently added the 3rd M.A.C.O. Battle Squadron, under "Brigadier" Ashli.
Our M.A.C.O.s are Fleet Marines, and will be handling a pile of our Ground Combat Operations.
If you like playing Dirtside, please feel free to submit an application to Ashli, and see if you
pass her rigourous standards to become a M.A.C.O.

Now, don't get me wrong.  Vailen and Ashli, as well as others, like RyanT and Luke,
have been sharing some ideas with me, and these ideas are being integrated into the Fleet.
But the most important voice in where we go is YOURS, the Fleet Officers.
Feel free to contact myself or one of your other Command Officers (Captain, Commodore, or Admiral)
and let your voice be heard!  Who knows?  The next step in our Fleet Evolution may be from
YOUR idea!

Again, Welcome to Hyperion!  Let's keep the momentum going, and kick some Klingon can!

Fleet Admiral (Acting) C. B. Waller,
Commander-in-Chief,
Hyperion Battle Fleet

Make Sure To Save Your Custom Characters Before The Open Beta Ends PDF Print E-mail
Written by FordGTGuy
Monday, 25 January 2010 10:02

As everyone knows the open beta for Star Trek Online will soon be ending.  When it ends all server side information about your characters, ships and game progression will be deleted, in other words you start over when you start playing the retail version.  However there is a way to save your custom characters, and a quite simple way.  Log into the game and go to the nearest customize character vendor.  When in the customization menu select the one you want to save to use later in the retail version and click modify.  When in the modify menu on the bottom of the screen you will see a option that says 'save' go ahead and click it.  A message will appear on the screen that says 'costume saved' now you have locally saved the character to your computer and will be usable when you start over in the retail version.  It also would seem that this saves the uniform your character is wearing when you save it also.

Saving your ship isn't quite as simple the best way I've found to do it is to write the options for your ship in wordpad and save until you get the retail version and recreate it.

Some of you might be wondering how to sign up for the head start program and others what the head start program is.  The Head Start program allows people that have pre-ordered Star Trek Online to start playing on the 29th of January instead of waiting for the game release on the 2nd of February.  Signing up for the head start program is pretty simple, first you need to get the pre-order key you obtained after pre-ordering the game.  Following this link http://startrekonline.com/openbeta on the linked page type in your key and activate it.  You are now activated for the head start program, all you have to do now is wait for Friday when your open beta client will be patched and you can start on your real full game of Star Trek Online.
